BE INSPIRED

As some of you may or may not know...fashion is an interest of mine that is developing into something more everyday.

The other day I was reading the fashion magazine ARISE which focuses mainly on Afro-Caribbean talent whether it be their music, modelling, designing, writing or just inspiring actions.

This magazine never fails to catch my eye on the magazine stand mainly because the models they have on the cover are just nothing less than amazing and this week the cover featured a model named Arlenis Sosa. I loved her look and outfit on the cover so immediately bought the magazine; whilst reading, it was mention that she was very ill on the day of her shoot...I thought 'ye well on America's Next Top Model they are always told that you just have to push past an be professional' and carried on flicking through the pages...when I finally got to her spreads....................................................wow.

I mean....I cannot say anything short of that word because (Lord have mercy) I did not expect the pictures to be THAT good, I was discussing it with another person and they could not believe that she was not well when she did this shoot. I'm not sure why but something about her really just inspired and connected with me, I read up on her and found out that she (of Dominican descent if you wondered) is only 22, was signed as soon as she walked into an agency in new york and TWO WEEKS later got booked for vogue AND vouge italia!!!!

SAY SU'M!!!!

The designers she has walked for include some of the most prestigious designers and Fashion houses in the world including Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, John Galliano, Emanuel Ungaro, Hussein Chalayan, Alexander Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hermes, Bottega Veneta, Anna Sui, Jason Wu, Mariella Burani and many more.

Please tell me you are not inspired.
In relation to this topic...I was at the itv show called Born to Shine this Sunday which features young talent in the UK, and it was truly amazing to see what young people as young as 13 have achieved and have passions for. For example the girl who wrote the song being used for the olympics (Dionne Bromfield - Spinning) is only 15 and wrote it at only 13! Boy...don't ask me what I was doing at that age *covers face*.

Well...congrats to all these people and people...be inspired.
