So in this post I have chosen to edumacate y'all on the subject

CORSETS!!! and their many uses:

1. FASHION

This is the most known one. Corsets main use is to slim the body forming a fashionable silhouette.

FOR WOMEN: The aim is to create or emphasize a curvy figure; reducing the waist size as well as exaggerate the bust and hips

FOR MEN (that's right! men used to wear corsets too): They were also worn to slim the figure to give one the desirable 'nipped in' look. That look is still in, it's just that nowadays rather than wear a corset, men would rather go down the gym for a few 'GET HENCH OR DIE TRYING' sessions to achieve (what I call) the Y FACTOR....YUMMM!!!

2. MEDICAL

Corsets were actually used to assist people with spinal problems such as scoliosis.

3. FETISH WEAR

In this case, they are used by BDSM enthusiasts where they are/can be accompanied by uber high heels, high boots, leather-wear, whips & chains etc...

4. WAIST REDUCTION

Wearing a tightly laced corset for an extended period of time can/will eventually reduce a persons natural waist size. So if that's something you want to try....GO AHEAD!!!

TYPES OF CORSETS

There are four types of corsets and they can be worn in different ways (depending on the person and the look they're going for)

1. OVER-BUST

This encloses the torso, going from under the arms to the hips...

2. UNDERBUST/ WAIST CINCHER

This starts from under the breasts (or sometimes lower) and goes down to the hips

3. FULL BODY

Goes without saying really.....
